Picture on the hifiman store page shows 2.
Yeah... saw that too. But strange that they bragged about it in the EF600 but nothing much on the Serenade.

hifiman doesnt have dynamic drivers in any og the hp i have from them, Would think its made for use with planars

Anyone with planars to test could also share their impressions. I am also interested in how planars sound with the Serenade

I'm really considering it with my HE-1000 V2, but am worried it's not as powerful or punchy as a Burson 3XP. Is R2R right for them?

The EF600 might be good for your Heks. More punchy and powerful. Theres a thread for it on headfi too

My ef400 is great with my he1000v2 so I should imagine the ef600 would be to.
I've heard the Serenade described as a fully upgraded EF400, and the EF600 too neutral for HEK's compared to a burson. Been hard to decide

The only problem with the ef400 is the lack of connections which doesn't really matter to me.
The Dac/amp ef400 has more than enough power & sounds amazing so I couldn't imagine you would need an upgraded model.

Maybe at 1k even not at $1200. Hoping to get it around that price or cheaper next year.
