Can anyone offer an informed opinion regarding if Hifiman re-262 would be a meaningful upgrade from BeyerDynamic MMX-101 (or DTX-101). I don't care about the mike really, just soundwise. I have been a little disappointed in the MMX-101s, not a big difference from SoundMagic PL-30 which are 1/3 of the price, in my opinion. Unfortunately I can't find the Hifiman re-272 in Europe, so re-262 would be the candidate... also I can't find it locally so it'll be taking a chance. Other suggestions in the £100-170 range also welcome.
