first unit had driver issues, than i got a replacement unit and the headband sounds like the inside plastic is stretching and snapping back together making a very unpleasant noise. The 2nd replacement unit is still doing the same thing...I do not remember my original unit having these type of headband noises
What kind of driver issues? Did you have stucked membrane to magnet?

I read that before I bought mine. I was buying used and I am used to ASR, so it was just another data point.

Yep, yet another data point for those hungry for measurements. Reading Amir's suggestions how to redesig Pro iCAN to have some market for it was rather funny considering how many of these were sold. Funny indeed :D

We like Amir!

cant wait to hear it. Once im done with the Ifi Pro IDSD review I will request the Pro iCAN to listen too! What DAC do you use with it?

At the office we use only our own stuff and some vintage AMR devvices too. As iFi's rep however I won't list what I have at home

I am quite happy with my Schiit BF2, but am curious about your DAC.

If you have any specific questions, by all means shoot me a PM, thanks!
Thanks for the offer, but it is Way too pricey for me. Maybe someday I will find a used one at a great price...

Sure thing, all good. I hope that you'll snipe one at some point :)

New member here, and just starting to go down the Head-Fi rabbit hole. I'm in the process of upgrading my equipment, most of which I've had for 3-4 years. Just picked up a pair of HE6se V2's directly from HiFiman. Open box for a little over $600 delivered. At that price I figured it was worth taking the plunge. Now I'm reading about all these problems with stuck magnets. Most seem to be those being sold by Adorama. Is there something unique about this version (maybe lack of QC)? Or is there no difference from those bought directly from HiFiman?

Am also picking up a used Burson Soloist, which I hope will pair pretty well with the HE6's. Currently have a Topping D50 DAC, which I'll probably keep for now. Would it be worthwhile to eventually upgrade my DAC as well? Maybe a Schitt Bifrost?

I have HE6se V2 Adorama edition, bought as open box directly from Hifiman, for 2 months. No problem with stuck drivers. Maybe this was a problem for some batch?

I remember some talk suggesting the stuck driver problem might be related to using particular aftermarket earpads

Using a solid leather pad might increase driver flex when taking them on/off since the air has nowhere to go. But there have been plenty of people report the driver stuck issue right out of the box on a brand new pair, so I don't think pads are fully to blame here since the stock pelipads aren't totally sealed like a full leather pad.

Budget awesomeness:

Schiit Modius (~$199) -> Palmer MONICON Passive Monitor Controller (~$75) > Crown D-75A (~$200) -> Hifiman HE6seV2 (~$549)

Interconnects: 2 pairs of Mogami 2549 Neutrik by WOLRDS BEST CABLES (~$60 total)
HP cable: Audiophile Ninja XLR (~$80)
EQ: PeaceUI (free)

Full price: $1163.

My final target: Burson Timekeeper 3i as per @DeweyCH recommendation.

Soon to add: Audeze carbon fiber headband + carbon fiber grills + LQI Bananas to XLR adaptor (future proof when I buy the Timekeeper lol).

FeelsAmazingMan!
