Could anyone who has owned/heard both give me a cohesive comparison between the two? I currently own the 400i but want to possibly switch to the TH600.

I read on the hifiman he-400i thread that some people were preferring the hifiman he-400i and contemplating selling their th900 for it.THATS RIGHT!! TH900!! $2000 headphones!!!
so i'm going to go and say that it's about preference, you might hate the th600, you might love it compared to the hifiman.
I would like to think that hifiman he-400i is technically the greater headphone but idk about your sound sig preferences...
