All good. But trust me, the Dekonis are awesome! My mistake--I thought you bought HiFiMAN pads for your SE.

I just saw this too - interesting!!!ZMF is offering two nice pads for various Hifiman including He1000SE
It seems Wave Theory has :just heads up i have tried Violectric HPA V222 it does pair well with he1000se or my hd6xx anyone tried the new mjolnir-3 with he1000se?
That is the pairing I have and I absolutely love it. HE1000SE never sounded better than with the Mjolnir 3just heads up i have tried Violectric HPA V222 it does pair well with he1000se or my hd6xx anyone tried the new mjolnir-3 with he1000se?
Zach talks about new Hifiman pads by ZMF, form the graphs looks like the oval pads will give some mid bass punch to HEK series, tradeoff is reduced sub bass.
Looking at the graphs shared in ZMF's own video (at 4:40 and on), it almost looks like these pads would yield a slightly brighter sound from 2 kHz to 8 kHz with a similar treble shape as the stock pads while providing a gentle broad relaxation of the lower midrange (particularly with the lambskin pads) which could improve clarity as I have found through EQ. My own measurements from https://www.head-fi.org/threads/earpads-for-the-hifiman-arya-now-available.961609/post-17961697 (post #84) showed that if normalized at the lower midrange, the Dekoni pads tend to relax the 3 kHz to 5 kHz while adding more midrange. At least for my ears, the top octave is barely affected. Also consider that increases in upper midrange might incur a lower preferred listening volume, decreasing the other frequency bands relative to it and thus possibly decreasing brightness; the ZMF pads appear to mostly track the stock upper midrange. These pads also seal better than the stock pads (the ZMF pads appear to intentionally not seal as well as the stock pads which in addition to loss of sub-bass can incur a bit worse bass distortion where improving that seal slightly decreases said distortion).Really interested in these pads for my HeKSE. Wonder if i should order the lambskin or the hybrid pads if i wanna tame down the top end a little bit without sacrificing much of the low end. Hey @zach915m would you please care to chime in?
Really excited.
Our pads tend to add punch and very similar otherwise with a good focus to the sound. I find the foam we use and materials feel great and are very cohesive sounding. Do note that the slight drop off in bass mostly occurs after 20 hz down low, it's really not audible unless you're comparing like 12 hz tones or something. I think you guys will like them a lot!Really interested in these pads for my HeKSE. By ear . Use tone generator (google it , there is 2 website). Simple as that actually. Also... bring a friend or 2 friends test it together. I did that.how exactly u test channel imbalance and distortion what gear do u use?
Please tell us how it sound. I am also curious about how it sound compared to dekoni. I think dekoni is more expensive.I’m gonna order both sets but before I do that. Pat Matheny’s gonna be in Atlanta in a couple of weeks so I have to get tickets to that first and they are little steep for good seats lol
