Hi!
I have my eyes on a used pair of HE-300 which where purchased in December 2011.
I was wondering if there is a way to differentiate physically the version 2 from the version 1. Is comparing the cable sufficient (three different type of cable seemed to have accompanied these headphones throughout the years...1-thick Canare, 2-thin Canare and 3-silver cable)?
Also does anyone know when Hifiman started producing the version 2, that is if such a definite date exists?

I don't know if you already made a purchase, but Jerg said Revision 1 has 4 screws when you take off the pads. Revision 2 and 3 have more screws.
