HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

How about some impressions. I'm very interested in how this compares to the Arya Stealth.
Had a few minutes on Munich High End, definitely more bass, way better build quality, slightly smaller soundstage (from memories so not that reliable)

How was the treble from your memory? As long as there is more soundstage depth than width, too much width and it can sound artificial.

The sample music gave quite little in this respect. In the Hotel California remaster, it became too sharp in parts, but otherwise the trebles were pleasant. Regarding the stage, I find it really difficult to listen critically at trade shows, noises are everywhere. In any case, it seemed naturally presented to me, the V2 were much more artificial in the stage.

They still haven't solved the problem with the scratched off paint on the headband adjustment. Small detail but something like that just bothers me
And the cable dont forget the cable

It's a shame they don't include an XLR cable with Hifimans, only a 1/4 cable...

The new Arya organic has the same magnets as the Arya Stealth but the new diaphragm is thinner.

That one raises an eyebrow. On the product pages they advertise the same diaphragm.

They have changed something more than the exterior for sure, since the impedance is 16ohm instead of 32ohm. Which, for it to sound more organic, seems a bit weird (considering it will harm the dampening factor, thus making even more controlled and dry).

I do love my Arya Stealth, but you know... since I don't like to EQ, with many rock recordings it can sound too hot in the treble.

I'm talking with the customer support to evaluate a trade in, but I don't know if it is available in Europe locally.

This is so true. Now I exclusively use Arya for anything that isn't rock/metal. For those styles I got myself LCD-2, and couldn't be happier about it, because they ROCK :)

Anybody know how hard the organic is going to be to drive?
