HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

I was only ever able to compare burned in and new pair of headphones and the difference was very noticeable. It wasn't with Arya, but with Diana V2, where I had a loaner demo that sounded fine, but the new pair sounded like a tin in comparison, very metallic. I played around 40 hours of white noise and it solved the issue.

With many components and HPs. With Arya I noticed changes after about ~20-50 hrs, more subtle changes thereafter. More natural sounding and expansive. Also depends on transparency of chain and listening experience/hearing perception. I have a good fun time listening and am satisfied with my purchase.

Just got an Arya…the instructions said they changed the material on the pads. Is this new as of 2021? Or is it from the 2020 revision?

Arya will not have the body in the vocal range like some other cans do. It is a function of the very open and spacious sound signature.
Depends on the amp. I'm getting very full sound with Gustard H20 and Sparkos op amps - except when I first turn it on and it's not warm.

There are plenty of pseudoscience cable forums, why do you keep pushing it here other than trolling and enjoying the negative attention?
How is the Arya with Black Label and Signature? I see u listed u have or had them. I'm considering getting one of them. I prefer Bluetooth dac/amps as I'm using es100 right now. I might use it with either ifi dac/amp if get it. Im not sure if its worth the price as I didn't like the chord mojo at that similar price.

Yes, you are correct, it does depend on the amp. But even with a great amp like H20, Arya does not perform as well as other cans of a similar or lower price. In almost all other aspects Arya is very, very good!

The 2021 version supposedly tamped down the 8KHz peak a bit. Not sure if it was solely due to materials change or if there was also an transducer electrical change to go along with new materials.
