HIFIdiy's mini USB DAC MK2--Also a headphone amp!

The OPA2604 is used in the headphone amp section, the OPA2134 is used in the DAC buffer section which passes to both the head amp and RCA out.

At stock the Aune is very good.

You will require 2x OPA627 (officially sourced genuine ones are expensive, ebay flooded with fakes) and the correct dual to mono DIP8 adaptor to allow you fit dual OPA627 into a single DIP8 socket, which op-amp you replace is up to you, experiment with different op-amps in different positions to decide which combo sounds best to you.

OPA2132P, or the superior OPA2227P (IMO) could replace the stock OPA2134, dual AD744's in the headphone section replacing the OPA2604 sounds fantastic to me.

I tried the OPA2107 in both positions for a while now, I'm disappointed overall it just didn't sound right at all in the Aune over the stock op-amps.

Thanks a lot. I probably order the Aune at stock and go from there. Do I have to tell the seller to put in a swappable socket when ordering or it comes with it?

I was playing with some opamps last weekend, and i still say, that replacing the lowpass filter (opa2132 by default) has way bigger impact on the sound compared to the headamp(opa2604). My ada4627-1 and opa827 combo was a bit harsh on my ears, later i found out that the culprit was opa827. Still, ada4627-1 is a really fantastic sounding opamp, just to check it out i A-Bd it with opa2134. I knew it will be different, but i did not expect a night and day difference. It's a very huge upgrade in sq.

You'll need 2 pieces, and a double soic(dual mono) to dip8 browndog

I hope you asked for 2 pcs.
Since i've got my Cavalli CTH finished, i don't know how much time will the aunes headamp get :p It's not better or worse, both are very good, just different (solid state vs tube flavour). For now, i've fallen in love with the tubes

AUNE is a clone. HiFiDIY have their own website and products. You can see in that thread the PCB says hifidiy on it but it has been masked out haha.

I'd like to inform you Sherlock, that Aune is the official brand for assembled hifidiy.net products for international customers.

Maybe the gain is to high for the Denon and that's why the volume control range is really small. But with soldering experiences it is easy to change the gain

.
For my Beyer 600Ohm it is working fine.

The impedance on the Denon are pretty low at 24 ohms so your not going to get a lot of range in the volume control. The closest thing I have is a pair of 32 ohm TF10's, my limit is around the 11 o'clock mark on dial before it gets painfully loud.

I think it will work fine, if you want more range then make or purchase an impedance adapter.

Both have more power than required. I used my aune with a 12V/1A power adapter.

I think the highest it could take is 18v..
I just use one spare RadioShack 13.5v.
