Well you only need to convince enough people to buy a DAP and you'll see huge price drops. Comparing mass production products with niche audio products fails acknowledge economic realities. Plus margins on niche products have to be higher as well.

Any idea what the "VELVETSOUND" is on the chips in this AKM4497 DAC chip? I assume it is a tuning approach and since it is also listed on the chip manufacturers site I guess its a AKM Tune. I am a Hiby fan I love my R6 Pro.

I'm trying to decide between the HiBy R8 and the 220 Max. I want a DAP that can drive full-sized headphones as well the iems that I usually listen to. Tough decision.
