Tip. For the battery limit cap during charging to work, you have to make "Idle Shutdown" disabled.

Is there a list of QC issues? Just want to be sure I'm not missing anything since people usually ask me a follow up after the review. Been using R8 quite a lot, especially for streaming, and haven't encounter any issues so far.

Just reading through the thread and quite a few people had to send theirs back to be replaced.
I’m still probably going to get one as my streaming dap and going to partner it with the c9.

Yes, I sent mine back to be replaced due to battery issue. I was part of the first 100 made (with leather briefcase). However am lucky to have Musicteck as my dealer, he was swift in providing a replacement! Excellent service.

Oh, I see. So early production batch had some battery issues. Glad it got resolved, and I guess that's a price you pay for getting a free Dignis case

The battery would drain to 10% overnight from a full charge in standby. Unit would remain warm (as if playing songs) when off.
This is a known issue, Hiby just does a full replacement. I suspect it was limited to early adopters like us.

Not just free Dignis case. A Dignis case, that simply isn't available to purchase. I've tried to buy an extra for a spare, it's impossible.

Thankfully it seems to be just a few units. Mine is a Dignis version too and I've had no issues at all, touch wood.
