@Joe Bloggs , is there any way to turn off the class A mode without powering off or restarting the device? I am on the latest firmware (1.31*) and the device gets pretty hot when in Class A mode and when even switched back to AB mode and waited for 15+ minutes, the device doesn't cool down and continues to be hot (not warm!!), so I am assuming its still running in Class A mode. Please let me know if there is any workaround/fix for this.

Anyone have the same issue?
The firmware is 1.00_20221208-1926 and I updated to 1.10_20230109-1339 following the instruction of the system.
But once the DAP restarted, it keeps 1.00_20221208-1926 and telling me to update again! I tried many times and the same issue happened.

I am facing an odd error from past week. The error is frequent but is not present all the time.

When I am start listening to music, within a minute the balance goes off. The right side audio gets lowered. It is not silent just muffled. and left ear piece thus feels more prominent

If I restart the app (force closing) it the problem remains. If I restart the device, the problem goes away. It may return or not return (8 out 10 times it returns).

I already have tried 2-3 wires, 2 earphones, and problem remains with all permutations combinations. I don't have any other balanced source or to test the earpieces to see if the issue is with the wire. I have a type C cable and earphones behave fine with them.

:frowning2: any help would be great. I am on1.31_20230905-1333. The problem though occurs even on Poweramp, and Neutron player.

Do you have a micro SD card inserted? Can you try again with it removed? Thanks

Do you confirm that restarting the device resolves the issue?

Do please email service@hiby.com regarding this to see if it is a hardware problem.

Yes, switching to AB mode and power off. Wait for few mins for the device to cool down and power it up. Then it will stay cool and doesn't heat up, so it seems to work. But it takes atleast 5 minutes or more for the device to cool down when powered off.

No micro SD card inserted but I fixed by dowloading the file from your google drive and upgraded it manually.
It's 1.31_20230905-1333 version now but not sure if it's the latest version.
I have another issue. Hiby music player pop up a message for updating to new version but nothing happen once I presse "update now"

Was the 15+ minute wait with music playing or without?

Was the device being charged at any point of this experiment?
