Yes thanks folks, tried the android factory reset after clearing update cache with SD card removed, but still no joy. After troubleshooting it sounds like it could be a hardware issue. I've emailed hiby. I'm going to have to dig out my ibasso dx90 to tide me over

I don't own R6 III and I assume that my posting wouldn't help anybody, but this is strange, I had the same problem on my Hiby R6 Pro OG, it was not permanent and it didn't create so many problems, but still... It's strange.

Do you have any information if this already happened or when it will happen?

I am planning to buy the player during the valentine´s special but only when I know for sure that the system wide PEQ is still a plan of Hiby, it´s a huge selling point.

As you know the sale ends on Feb 7th so a quick (and hopefully positive) answer would be highly appreciated!

Hello Joe,
I’m also curious about the system wide PEQ plans.

I exclusively stream. Currently Apple Music and Qobuz.
Haven’t had any local music files in years so EQ inside the Hiby Player App is not an option.

Did i understand it correctly that you could also stream Tidal via the Hiby Player app which has EQ?
So basically it´s kind of a workaround if you want to use the 10band EQ for streaming Tidal or will it only work for local files?

I don´t own the player but have seen that function in different reviews and screenshots.
It should work system wide just as MSEB does.

MSEB works on the R6 III like a champ, no real need for anything else IMHO.

I had the Hiby R6 pro and MSEB was really ok but i wished it had also global EQ/PEQ to tune the sound more in detail (frequency wise) for certain type of headphones.

Totally agree! my planars where missing some slam, but with DRX10K adding some bass slam...wow! great dap indeed!
