After 16 month my FC3 seems to be broken, but not completely. Can anyone try to connect it without the 3.5mm jack plugged and see if windonws detects it as "ESS USB Audio" please ? It is maybe just a defectuous socket.
Are you saying that the device is detected by the wrong name?

Also are you saying this only happens when you plug it in on the USB side without headphones plugged in?

It doesn't work because the device is not detected by the flash software. Please can you check if, the device is detected as "ESS USB Audio" when the headphones is NOT plugged ? thank you.
I've been told that it is exactly when it is detected as "ESS USB Audio" when it can be flashed thus.

It's not part of the instructions, but, can you try clicking the blank box under "target" and see if a supported device comes up while the FC3 is connected to the computer?

When i click on the box next "target" it opens an empty dropdown. I tried different usb port, run as administrator, etc...

Hi everyone,

A while back I bought a FC3, as I knew the day would come where I buy a phone with no headphone jack. That day has come.

The fc3 works with my Samsung A34, but only for a while, then it goes silent. The indicator LED is still lit, suggesting the dongle is still getting an audio stream...

If you unplug it, and plug it back in, it comes back, but only for a bit.

What gives? Is it busted?

Ive been testing my new FC3 for a week now, it is a nice upgrade from my LG G7!! I tought I wouldnt notice any difference but its clear this chip is superior ( comparing to G7 anyways ). I got it really cheap at the official store 66% disccount.

Buuuuut im not free of gimnicks, powering the device isnt that simple! For it to work properly I always have to replug it without the my ATH-WS99 plugged every time I switch app or reboot my PC/Phone.

Im still loving it, real portable!

I've recently tried connecting my Hiby FC3 DAC to the USB-C port of my desktop PC. However, based on the audio settings I'm only able to get 16bit audio (Max of 16bit, 384kHz)? Is this normal? Is there any way I can get it to 24 or 32bit? Music streams through Tidal at Max settings. Any form of help or advice is appreciated. Thanks!
