We wanted to introduce ourselves to the audio community here on Head-Fi and announce the launch of our first headphone. Apos Audio is based in the Bay Area and we curate audiophile equipment from different brands including products made by us.

Community members who have interacted with us love the service we provide. We are available via chat on the website and work with members to recommend appropriate products for their needs. In order for the community to feel comfortable with their purchase, we provide an Extended 2-year Manufacturer's Warranty (we cover this cost) and 45-Day Free Returns. At the same time, if you find a lower price online, we'll match it, and also provide a 30-day Lowest Price Match Guarantee after the purchase has been made.

Today we launched our first headphone - the Apos Caspian Open-Back Headphone. The Caspian is the brainchild of Sandu Vitalie of SoundNews, Kennerton Audio, and Apos. To create it, we took the Kennerton Vali, revised its sound signature, and revamped it with a comfortable and aesthetically beautiful design--all for the price of $499. It features a massive 50mm dynamic driver, natural oak ear cups, and oval-shaped ergonomic sheepskin ear pads.

looks like an interesting headphone. but i do wish they had gone with a higher impedance driver (300-600ohm) which would work better with OTL tube amps. definitely want to give it a listen though!

Why do all of Kennerton's wooden cups have those straight lines on the sides?

I wonder what the weight is. Also, it appears to use the headband design of most Beyerdynamics. Those headphones never quite extend far enough to reach my ears. A really worn out old pair seems to be able to maybe due to the headband pad compacting, but even then just barely. 1/2 inch extra extension on each side would be make or break.

We've always been cautious of adding international shipping because we want to uphold the standards we set on our customer service side to whoever purchases from us.
