Interesting! The same thing happened with the HF-1 some time back.

If I recall, the lucky few who snagged remnant HF-1s revealed their tricks in the thread discussing the sale. Anyone bent on landing one of these HF-2s would be wise to find that thread.

I almost tried to buy another one as a back up just in case my current one ever breaks. Then decided that was pretty silly and zeroed out the cart.

Maybe these units are the ones, that have been returned by the people, who were not satisfied with the (infamous?) Grado finish. Lets hope there´s not to many dinks and marks in mine. Looking forward to the GREAT Grado sound though

Who knows..Some of the HF-2´s are having a bad finish. Even some of the PS1000´s are having that problem, so we will just have to wait and see. I´m hoping for the best.

They shouldn't be because if that was the truth I would hope the vendor would be decent enough to mark them the same way. I think these are just excess from the order placed between ttvj and grado.
