See, a friend wants me to help him out in terms of buying some IEM's for him.

His budget is ~$150US. I would prefer that the IEM's are unamped for easier use (I know it cuts down my options). So far, he's leaning on the Sennheiser CX95's but I know there are others that are better priced.

I would like to know how say the Sennheiser CX95 compare SQ wise to say:

Head-Direct's RM2's (the RM1 are not an option as...150 ohm IEM's!

)
Yuin PK2's (PK1 not an option because of impedance).
ER-6i's

Any other options I have overlooked please post.

Thanks. TIA.

If he can spend 170-180$, I would suggest the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5, or the Etymotic ER-4p, depending on his taste in music.
