Hi all,

I have spent hours trying to find a solution, but am currently without success, and was hoping that someone with more wisdom than me could offer some advice. I would be so grateful.

I would like to get the most out of my new Sony WH-1000XM4 Bluetooth headphones by leveraging LDAC. I stream music from my iPhone, my MacBook Pro, but both over AAC. I would like to do this over LDAC. Also, I would love to be able to hear my vinyl records through my Bluetooth headphones also, again over LDAC.

How would you go about solving this? Let’s forget about budget. Also, I am aware that some Digital Audio Players could solve the iPhone/MacBook side FiiO M6 for instance, but I would like one device that ticks all the boxes, or worst case, two devices that can solve everything.

Fiio BTA30 looked to be the solution for the vinyl, but no analog in.

Thanks for any advice you can offer and happy to share experiences if/when solved!

BTA30 can stream LDAC, but not from its USB input but only its COAX-in, IIRC. The way around this is probably to get an USB-to-COAX adapter, then connect the output to BTA30.

Thanks both for your input.

I’m thinking then whether I should route my phono out to my AV Amp via cable, then have the BTA30 input hooked up to the AV digital out? This effectively gives my vinyl an LDAC out. Right?

Then, I can use AirPlay to transmit from the Apple devices to that same AV, and again, stream that out via LDAC from the BTA30 via digital.

Does that sound like it would work? Am I making any huge sacrifices that makes the whole plan pointless do you think?

Thanks again!
