Josh,

I took a look at your original files again... the problem is cause by having both the input V+ segment and the V+ past the switch named V+ (that is what the first two ERC warnings are trying to tell you). Eagle thinks they are the same and connects them together on the board as if the switch were closed. Change the V+ coming in (from battery) to another name (V+_in?) and select for that segment only and it will fix that problem. The library part is fine.

I must be working on this too much. I was dreaming about EAGLE and all this last night, and thought the same thing! Fixed!

OK I think I finalized my design...I'll put up new files on my web space soon. I am double checking specs for manufacturing @ Olimex.

Is there someone here that can double check my SCH, BRD, Gerber & Excelon files for Olimex?

Or is there someone I can email @ Olimex to check my work?

Traces are now 40mill

GUH!! Olimex does not take emails from GMAIL! (or any emails from free web based servers) I do not have any other email

Sure you can't get something through your ISP?

By the way, nice-looking stuff (that comment coming from a guy with zero experience in schematics

). I'll almost definitely be in for one once they're made.

Yeah, I had some email problems with them also. They cannot email Comcast customers (can't remember the exact problem, but it relates to reverse DNS lookup). I was wondering as I hadn't heard anything from them for several days after I submitted my files. Then one of their emails came thru showing a delivery failure (not sure why that one came thru), so I resorted to using my work email and also a gmail account I set up just for that purpose (once they know you, they can use gmail).

Not sure what to tell you, other than not to rely on the more spam friendly services like gmail, hotmail, etc. to always be accepted.

I got a MSN.COM email, I did not see that on the DO NOT ACCEPT list.

I just finished up a final revision and other things, zipped up the files & README.TXT Olimex needs, and shot them an email from my MSN account.

Hopefully my design will pass and I'll get a quote!

I did a quick check on your board and schematic.

Schematic looks ok. No errors so the board should work. I didn't check every trace so there could be errors.

Olimex is going to charge you for the .8mm and 1.6mm drill sizes. If you want to save a few $, change the drills. I'm sure the .8mm could go to .9mm. You will have to figure out if 1.5 or 2.1 will work for the jacks. If not pay the $1.30 for 1.6. Olimex specs hole size before plating. The finished holes are .1mm smaller than the drill size.

Silk screens are too narrow on the .brd. You can either use a script to fix it or fix the libraries.

There is still room for improvement on the layout.

Edit: just saw you sent the files out. -- Hope everything goes smoothly.

Tell me what can be tweaked! What is wrong? I know there is empty spaces ..but I am happy with this design.

As for the Silk Screens I forgot to run their OlimexAllSilk.ulp before I Hosted my Project files here.

The drill sizes in the jacks I'll have to pay for. The jacks have a weird TAB pins instead of Round pins. They are 1.5mm wide. I tried to edit my Library file with 2.1mm holes but those were tooo thick and the pads overlapped. 1.5mm will be abit to thin.

And for the 0.8mm drills, those are from EAGELS library files.

How can I change the drill sizes in my Project and not the actual Library files?

Hey, its all right, dont even worry about it. Hey question for you EAGLE masters out there, anyone know how to remove name text? I have a layout that I am working on that has the stuff too close together to have a name fit nicely.

Or at least, can I custom place the part names?

use the SMA command and click what name you want to move around. Check out Tangents movie Tuts on EAGLE.

EDIT: Is there a way to make a TAB type hole instead of a round hole? the 2.0 or 2.1mm holes are too thick and the pads will over lap. Here's the Data Sheet of the Jacks I am using.

Other wise I'll have to file down the tabs in 1/2 to make them .75mm thick. That way I can use 0.9mm holes.
