Hello all, thanks for reading.

I've got a vintage set of zenith headphones in excellent shape with a pretty good sound, but there's something up with the left/right channels. While the jack, cabling, connections and phone housing look untampered-with and in near perfect condition, the left/right channels are reversed and there's a distorted echo ONLY in the low-mids from the right (labelled left, where cable enters phone) to the left (labelled right) at moderate to high volumes. The low-lows(!), mids and highs sound great, and suffer zero distortion/echo. Any insights appreciated, can provide pics if would help but before opening them up wanted to hear what the probable issues could be.

Thanks again,
Timothy

Despite obvious lack of interest, someone someday might have a similar problem, so I'll update if a solution is found (they're off to Cyberspyder who'll be taking a more knowledgeable look at them).

So two months later... :)

It turns out there is something wrong with one of the drivers itself, but with some creativity cyberspyder has put them into decent working order. For the gory details, you'll have to get in touch with him.
Here's his pics...
