OH SNAP! Now that is good thinking. Only potential issue I can see with that is not having a big enough punch for the pot. But man, that would have saved some serious time in case prep. Thanks for the tip. :thumbsup:

I actually found that drilling them worked better then punching holes. I broke a cheap hole punch working on a tin. If you start with a really small drill bit, and then bump up the size 4-5 times until you get to the right size, the hole will come out perfectly

I would agree with Pars re: unibit drill bits but they are hard to get and very expensive here in Singapore. I tried using drill bits prior to the punch and they simply messed up the tins as the thin metal tend to rip causing ugly burrs and irregular holes. Well, the hole punch works for me. I first put a layer of masking tape on the tin to prevent scratches and mark the centre of the hole before making the punch.
