Help on rock setup for $300

Tomcat, nope, haven't gone a mile near those 770s yet. On the other hand, I have very extensively heard the 3000s and the MS-IIs before being a pretty longtime owner of both, so I feel confident in recommending them for rock, more so the 325/MS-II than the 3000.

I see I also left a chain of followers in my wake.

I haven't owned the 770s, so I won't even comment on them.

If they're anything like the Beyer 831s which I did own for a while, then I'd be recommending the 325s over them. But then again, I'm not over here strictly saying the 325s/3000s are definitely better then the 770s. Yet.

amps made by JMT

i'm assuming they're usually portable amps in an altoids or penguins tin.

i have a pengiun with the apheared 47 mod (specifically for lower impedance headphones), and it performs wonderfully.

I believe the general opinion is JMT's amps perform at least as good as the TA, if not better, especially for Grados.
