I did try to correct my first impression of "bright", I suppect I put the volume way too high...coz i did find (now) the "musicality" issue...

How one player can discribe as "musical"? why it happened, and is there cure for it....

..about CA-1 you are right, I bought Kimber PBJ and sounds great, but again still not "engaging", or make me grove...(I'd rather back to my MD with KSC-35....)

If I should get a new CD player; CYRUS is way to expensive for me (I can't get is 2nd hand - see where i live). Is there other player near my rotel price? perhaps as DVD player; my wife will get crazy if she found I get another expensive CD player (only).

check out my post above. You should be able to get the Music Hall as a Shanling s-100 from China. It should be cheaper in Jakarta.
