help needed at the land of the pharos

reading threads on this forum opened my appetite to buy new headphones but,
i live in alexandria, egypt and we don`t have a large variety of good headphones here.
the only supplier we have is radioshack ....

so i was woundering if anyone can take a look at my local radioshack website and help me select the perfect headphones.

edit: Nevermind, I couldn't find anything that I know about from Radioshack Egypt. Sorry. Hopefully someone else from here will know something about those headphones.

Well, just like Radioshack in the US, a lot of those headphones are made by Koss.

For example, 33-1182 is a non-folding version of the UR-40. But you wanted supra-aural.

The "Nova 63" might not suck very much, but then again they might.

Really if you're quite ambitious, you could get the 33-1182 and pull the drivers out, which are ksc75 drivers in a ksc35 frame, and find a compatible snap-on headband and buy some radioshack foam pads.

Doesn't Alessandro ship worldwide? You ought to be able to find a workaround for payment - perhaps go to the American Express office for a traveler's check in US funds or a prepaid Amex gift card from them. I would think either would get them shipped to you.

Also, visit any local music store and ask the owner if they know a way to have equipment shipped in.

Good luck, and it is absolutely worth the extra effort to have good headphones shipped to you.
