Hi guys.

I cant seem to find a shop who sells both the 2sk389 and the 2sj109, with the same gain-class.
If any of you have these laying around or know where to get them, please let me know.
I want to get my first DIY project done, ASAP

(So I can show you guys some pictues!)

They are discontinued and usually if you find any they will be price gouged. Try Dan Gardner (dgardner here on head-fi).

Otherwise, you can replace these with pairs of 2SK170 (BL) and 2SJ74 (BL) which are the single equivalents.

I assume you plan to use these for differential amplifiers in some discrete opamp circuit? You could, as Pars suggested, just get some 2SK170/2SJ74 single N and P channel JFETs, the BL grade of which is available at BDent for far less than one of the devices you are looking for. You probably would want to do some matching, but they probably will work fine for your application. Last I heard from Linear Systems, the complimentary device to the LSK389 was still a ways off, but you could check there as well.

I've heard Dan travels a lot. I'm sure he will eventually reply, but it might be a while. I had no problems ordering parts from him a few weeks ago. He was very fast shipping me the parts, too.
