Hello. I just opened my HD555 up in an attempt to perform the mod. However, I managed to slip and the wires that are attached to the circuit board of the driver fell off. It is a red and a yellow wire and the side I opened up is the right side. Does anyone know how I may be able to fix it? I am still pretty unsure as to which one goes where.

Oooo, it actually helped a lot. So any suggestions on how to solder it back in? Should I remove the metallic shaped remnants on the circuit board first? I am a total novice when it comes to soldering. I can probably either borrow or buy a cheap soldering kit... Thanks a lot for your help.

If there's enough solder left on the board, you don't need to remove it, nor do you need to add. You can just melt that, stick the wire in, and you're done!

(This is bad practice, but it will hold fine)

Finally bought a soldering iron today and gonna try to fix it... I did lose a screw for the HD555 though. Hope it won't be too problematic.

Edit: It was a huge success. Thanks for all the help I got.

I tried to reshape the chassis by cutting the inner layer out. There are other topics for that on the forums. It supposedly improves the sound stage.
