  I can see that I could buy a newer model, with a straight cable. Any other diff between these two?

 
I got the coiled cable version. As far as I'm aware, there are 2 differences, one being the cable and the other is foam dampening of the face of the driver. I removed both! xD ie. did the removable cable mod and got rid of the foam. Getting rid of the foam lessened the bass and made it tighter and increase imaging performance slightly.

Today my heapdhones arrived. I have the 'new' model (correct left/right length, normal cord, despite the fact that the photo advertised the old ones. The sound is very good. Nice hights, vocals and punchy (but not amplified) bass. I wait for my ihifi 770 to see how they add one to each other. Thanks everyone for the advices. They are a really nice pair of headphones.

Hi again. I'm hearing some buzz from my right speaker on this HP. When the volume is relative high, bass makes it buzz. But the left speaker sounds ok. Can it be the moving film/membrane of the speaker is hitting the metal shield?
