These will be used on the bus listening to hip-hop, light jazz, rap-ish music.

Bass and clarity is pretty good on Turbine but they isolate less and stay in outer ear, Aurvana 3 are better balanced sounding with more isolation and clarity but less less bass compare to Turbine.

The Gratitudes are not part of the Turbine family. They're not nearly as bass heavy/bloated. The Grats are actually very balanced and engaging.

Thanks for the replies guys. The monster gratitudes seem like a great deal to me, and unless you have any other suggestions for clear even iems at around $50-$70 I will probably buy them. The msrp is over $200! I also quite like the design and as they will be primarily used in public, that does play a role. I recently bought audio technica ath m50's which I love, but are too bulky to use on the bus, so I end up using whatever is at my house which often includes the pos apple ear buds. I have a nexus 4 and gn3 with poweramp to fine tune the output to my taste.

The gratitude is honestly the best you'll get at the 50-70 price range. The only downside really is that theyre a bit heavy since theyre completely metal housing. I've written a review on them and recommended them to tons of people (my entire suite of 4 uses them for portable use right now

). You can definitely feel secure buying them knowing ur about to get a kickass deal!
