Hi, I've got all the components ready to recable my 325i's and I've looked through posts and threads reference recabelling etc... but can't seem to find anything relating to a method of breaking into them without damaging anything. I've tried prizing the drivers from the cups but they won't budge.

Any advice or help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

HeadWize - Project: The Collected Grado Headphone Mods by "Skippy" et al.

the method that worked best for me was to lay the drivers (after taking off the headset) driver side down onto a towell, then i held a shaving bottle cap over the grill to protect the drivers from the heat. run a hair drier around it in circles for a wile which will melt the hot glue inside and pull them apart with something to protect your hands from the heat, as 325s are metal

if the gap between the top half and the bottom is big enough you can use lego to pry em apart...maybe, thats how i got mine open

btw if you cant pry em open, heating sounds like the only option, myb you can cover the whole metal part with alu foil before submerging into hot water?
