sorry to dig up an ancient and festering thread....after some delays, i'm a little closer to achieving my initial goal, though now there appear to be some newcomers like the Denon D2000 and D5000. good isolation would be great.
how do the denons compare to the edition 9 and the jvc DX1000?

any other newcomers recommended for my requirements? perhaps i can get away with spending less than initially planned?


ps...would love more bass speed depth and impact than the old hd650 offer, and perhaps a slightly more holographic soundstage.
