I never did any DIY before and I’m kinda worried.
If there is anybody who had an experience in re-cabling, please help me.
I have no idea which cable to pick and how to start.
I also have many questions.
Does any diy cable looks like jena wire so I can use individual wire and braid?
If I buy mini to rca cable and cut the rca side of cable to connect to the drivers, will it work? Does this make sence?
If it is possible, how do I tell which wire goes to + and which goes to -, or desn't matter?

Thank you for all your help.

Hi, fallenangel.
I read your denon recabing thread..
I have question for you..
It seems like you use 4 wires 2 for each driver.
Each driver has positive and negative right?
then you braid those 4 wires down to the plug..
in your case it is balance connector..
In my case it will be 1/4 connector plug.
My questions is after solder wires to drivers, we have 4 wires all together(2 from each side) and 2 of them are positive and 2 of them are negative.
How can I connect these 4 wires to my 1/4 conncetor?
I read step by step interconnect tutorial, but I still do not understand.
Can you help me on this please.
thanks

the two "negative" cables are both ground, and as such can both be soldered to the ground connection on your TRS plug

Thanks for the answer..
When I solder the wires to the driver how can I determine which is negative and which is positive?

You could tell by either:

1. The ground on both drivers will be the same color.
2. See where the wires go on the stock connector.

I don't want to spend more than $50 unless it is really much better than other cable.
In that case I'll increase my budget to $100.
thanks

I would sugest to use Mogami 2893. link: Redco Audio

Do not be fooled by the mogami price. It’s very good made in Japan pro cable. It’s a lot softer than Cardas, nicer built, several colors to choose and some folks actually prefer it to Cardas sound wise if you believe in cables. For the price you can't beat the mogami. I used Cardas 4x24 before several times.
