Personally I'd go for a DAC/amp combo,which gives you more power than a DAP will.

If you dont want an IEM and still want isolation a closed back headphone such as the Mr.Speakers Aeon Flow Closed +Chord Mojo will work very well and be well under your 2k budget.

First,understand I do not use an iPhone of any kind(Android guy here).....Are you asking which cable to get to use an iPhone with a Chord Mojo,or something else?
If Chord Mojo I believe Chord sells a cable package that includes all needed cables including a lightning cable,which I believe is what iPhones use to connect to the Mojo,but dont quote me on that.

If its another cable youre asking about please clarify.

You can probably find just the lightning cable by itself for cheaper,but again I am not an Apple user,so its best to read and ask questions prior to buying.
