Help for buyinga good headphone

Guys i don't know what is lows, mids, highs. Is that reducing volume to de level, mid level and high level...???
 
How lows should sound. Im not getting the point. In my headphones (apple) if u keep the volume low it will be low. Im not getting what that does means. Can some one explain me.. :)

Oh, didn't know you weren't sure of those terms--you should have stopped us before we went on and on!
 
I am oversimplifying to help you understand quickly:
Lows, mids, highs--refers to frequencies/pitch, not volume. So think of a choir: the bass singer has a "low" voice, and the soprano has a "high" voice.
 
Instruments can go lower and higher than our voices, so we usually talk about low/mid/high frequencies like this:
Lows--Drums (the kick drum), bass guitar
Mids--Voices, and most instruments
Highs--Drums (cymbals), string instruments (e.g. when a guitarist slides his hand across the strings)

So if someone says that the lows in this headphones are great then it means that drums, bass guitar sounds good in that headphone. Am i rite...?? so as for mids and highs huh..??

or just buy any of the headphones we've recommended.  you'd be happy with any of them
