My friend is ordering all his PC parts tomorrow, as sewegg.com is already starting their Black Friday deal, and is getting a really nice $900 rig, the only thing he still needs to figure out is the soundcard... I told him to get the ASUS Xonar DGX (Found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829132052), is that a good choice? I told him I was going to put a thread on headfi first, so can you guys tell me if the ASUS is good for the money? He is using the JVC HA-RX700's as headphones.

EDIT: He went to his max being $20, but I know I can get him to pay 30, so sorry for the change.

Thank you so much for the help (again),
Mark K.

For the budget, get the Xonar DG or DGX.
