I am a former electrical engineer turned missionary. Earlier in life, I traveled a lot doing mission work, and grew to love headphones. I had a pair of Sennheiser HD 580s, a Headroom Supreme, and a portable CD player that went everywhere with me. 
 
I find myself at a strange place in life. As of today, I have no headphones worth mentioning. The Sennheisers died a couple of years ago, victims of rambunctious church kids with pencils. (No, I didn't kill them. Though I may have entertained the notion privately.) Last night, my dog ate my custom in-ears. (He is also still alive.) So, among other things, I will be looking at threads around here as I consider new headphones.  
 
My avatar is Herman Bavinck, my favorite theologian. The headphones he wears are fictional, taken from a strange audiophile dream.
