I have just arrived from the headphones forum..they are nuts..

Can somebody tell me good headphones for my iAUDIO7???

I will use them for playing piano too so they should be a kind of versatile.

I am listening to Nick Cave, The doors, Einsturzende Neubauten, some jazzrock and classical music. I can Spend up to 600 US Dollars for the phones.

Thank you in advance.

Except for the significant number of people who would recommend Livewires

To the OP - Are you wanting full size headphones or IEM's? If full size, semi-portable or does it not matter? Amping or no amping?

Except that they seem to expose hiss/white noise in most players.

Like the very act of sending them a frikkin signal causes hiss.

To all:

I am satisfied with my UE triple fi. so I am not searching for IEM`s anymore (perhaps some of their custom models in the future...)
I would recommend the Triple fi. more than the Shure (MY POINT OF WIEW). There is less hiss with the trple fi.

I am looking for some full size headphones. They must not be too portable (they shold work with my iAUDIO7 without an amp). And they should not be too big or heavy.

Thank you in advance
