Hello!

Can anyone tell me something about the sound quality between these
2 Amps?

I will drive a HD 600 with it.
I know, the HEED should be good for the Sennheiser HD 600 but...

Are the RSA Hornet/SR-71 and the HEED in the same SQ league for an HD 600?

Or the difference in SQ are marginal between the HEED and the RSA?

Thanks for any opinions!
Michael

I prefer the Heed to either the SR71/Hornet. However you are comparing aples and oranges.

The Heed CanAmp is a fantastic home amp, and Ray's are portable amps. BTW even though I prefer the sound of the SR71 to the Hornet I would get the Hornet if I was to use it as a portable. Smaller, gain switch, and rechargeable battery.

I would like to hear more comparisons between the portable amps and home amps.

I think portables have really improved over the last 2 years, but generally speaking do not exceed the sound of home amps with larger power supplies.

Thanks for for your reply.

I was hoping to get nearly the same SQ with a portable amp like the great new Headphonia (129 €) in class-A mode for my HD 600.
The Headphonia is in the same SQ league like the SR-71/Hornet.

But after reading a lot here, i think the best amp for my HD 600 at home is the
HEED Canamp. (ca. 350 €)
I like "3D sound" and read that the HEED has this DSP effect.

BTW... during i write this, i hear the "Mike Oldfield Exposed" live album loud
with my HD 600. Wow!
Maybe one of the best live albums of all time!

I want hear it with the HEED.

Pink Floyd has respect on this forum and wrote a positive review for the Heed which is high praise.
