I know that one is just an amp and the other is an AMP + DAC, but I'm knew to amping and would like to hear which would be a better investment. My current headphones are the ATH M50, Beyerdynamic DT990 250ohm, and maybe the AKG K702 if the sale goes through tomorrow. I was wondering if the Fiio E17 for $139 which from my understanding is a Amp and DAC would be a better investment then the Headroom Micro Amp. There is a person selling it locally for $120, and am not entirely sure if spending almost the same amount on a Fiio E17 for just an Amp is worth it. At the same time, I have heard that next to the Headphone itself, the amp is the next most important. I'd just like to know if this price for this amp is too good of a opportunity to give up.
