Hello People

I am quite new to the headphones scene.
I have a pair of HD 202s and I recently bought a new subwoofer for my stereo system and now my headphones seem rather empty.
i am look for a pair of headphones priced somewhere around $300 with decent bass and dont need an amp.
does this even exist?
(the kind of music i listen to is electronic/rock/dubstep/hiphop/anything really)
can anyone help me?

thanks

I was looking at some MDR xb1000s are those too bassy?

'Too bassy' is subjective to each individuals taste and ears. But I'm pretty sure the XB1000 has more bass than the denon.

I looked at some D2000 review and I think it is what I'm looking for. But will I hear a difference in sound quality from my HD 202s? (I would be listening off an iPod touch) I'm just being cautious...

Yes. You your mind will be blown. (I would almost put money on that statement)

Ultrasone HFI-580 (closed), HFI-780 (closed) or HFI-2400 (open) are quiet good options for the genres you specified as well as the budget. And don't go under the assumption that just because a set is less expensive, that it performs poorly.

Basically, all sorts of EDM perform admirably on Ultrasone headphones.

Definitely. I had the HD212 and both the D2000 and HFI-580 destroyed them. D2000 bass goes a little lower than the HFI-580. IMO the D2000 sounds like a 12" sub ported and the 580 sounds like a 12" sub sealed.
