Headphones or the music?

I hear crackling with my AHD2000s in music.

I can't figure out if it's the music or the headphones that are causing this crackling.

I listen to a lot of beat crazy music ( electronica, techno ) and sometimes my music has this crackling intentionally but sometimes I wonder if it's the headphones.

Any way to check if there's something wrong with the headphones?

Thank you.

Send me your ADH2000s. I shall give them a good run through in my rig and confirm or disconfirm (should that just be firm?) your suspicions.

Ahaha, that's funny. Thanks though.

It could also be your amp clipping or distorting. Bass heavy music draws a lot of power off your amp. If it can't deliver enough power, you'll hear distortion and clipping when it runs out of power.

do you have any other headphones? you could use that under the same source, amp,etc and then see if you hear the same thing or not
