I have about $90 to spend and it's between two, the Audio Technica ATH-AD700 or Technics RP-DH1200, which would be better for mainly trance and gaming? Also, is the ATH-A700 or AD700 better?

Not sure about the Technics but the AD700's FWIR lack bass for trance and bass heavy music. I've heard they can be eq'd for more bass but I'm not sure of the results.

I don't think the AD700s has the right potential for the type of music. I owned them and didn't care for their bass even after boosting it. They distort rather easily.

They won't be mainly for music, more for gaming than anything, and I know they are supposed to be good for that purpose. A good pair will come in handy for games like CS, but I will also use them occasionally for music. I really want Beyerdynamic DT770s but they are double my budget

The AD700s won't let you down for gaming. They are probably my 2nd fave gaming headphones after the DT880s for serious competitive gaming. I prefer the sound of the DT770 Pro 80 because of the movie theater like sound, but the AD700s will do your gaming more justice.
