Hi guys, I've been reading up on a few of these forums and most of them haven't been helping in my exact situation. I also haven't had a pair of good headphones yet. I need good headphones for Hip Hop and Rap. I also listen to a little dubstep. They should have good highs and mids, but also have tight, punchy bass. Well some might consider me a Basshead so bass should be p. I care more about the music and the beat then the words so the mids can be recessed a bit. I only have $400 but if I need an amp for its full potential I don't mind buying one but the Cans/Amp combo have to be near $400.

On a side note, I have heard that Ultrasone headphones have good bass, also the ATH-M50 has a lot of hype in these forums. Never heard any of these myself though.

Thanks and I also posted on the recommendation thread and I got a few more suggestions so Thanks guys but if anyone reads this and has another pair of headphones to recommend I'm not buying it for a few weeks.

One of the Headphoneus Supremus guys on that other thread told me to get the AKG 167's. He said they are well balance with a punchy bass. So guess what I'm getting.
