Price range? Fullsize, midsize or portable?

Ultrasone HFI-550
Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro

Good choices for bass heads.

*edit* Oh, and RP21 which should have good bass, or RP22X which is has even more boosted bass than RP21.

Denon AH-D2000 or Shure E500/E530 will bring the bass.

Although I haven't heard 'em the DT990 and DT770 Beyers are supposed to bring it as well. 770 being totally in your face style.

wow wow thx for the quick replies.....ok i have to give a price range, perhaps something ard the price of k518dj, maybe +/- $50 singapore $$ would be ok, im from singapore btw, i have the k518dj but juz find the clamping force quite bad, but i like the sound it gives, its has so much 'impact'....size doesnt matter as i'll be using it at home on my pc btw, i was looking at:

rp21
ath sj5
sony v6/7506

i'm not really sure bout v6 very much except that read that it has good bass, but not really sure its as strong as k518's bass, but i do like the look of it n its circum-aura....but cant seem to find much info on rp21 though....

i think anything in the dt770, Darth Beyers etc should be too high for me

erm, my impression of Denon's that they will bring the bass, but they just won't let you have it! Even though the bass is there, it is not as nice as DT880/990.

Equation Audio RP21. There are quite a lot of info here, not to mention quite big thread of it. Original price is around 150$, but bit asking around you can get one below 100$, and impressions say that they are best closed cans for that price you can get, some enthusiasts say even above that price range. Its still in FOTM period, but so far it has gone through it without any hangovers.

Sony V6 is a good low-priced can for good bass.
Also good is Denon D2000.

bass is available in the Darth Beyer, but costs more.

so u r saying V6 bass is like k518dj's?

haiz but seems that Equation Audio RP21 is not available in sg...

btw the bass in the ATH ES-7 category is a no go for me, i feel that listening to that headphone [after listening to k518dj] is like listening to a treble-only headphone, like 'where's all the bass gone' feeling....didnt knew i liked bass so much until now, b4 i was using mylar3, which i think i must swop for mylarXB now coz of the bass....

No, I didn't say that -- I have never heard the k518dj -- but you asked for choices.

If you don't mind IEMs, the Future Sonic Atrio M5 is an outstanding headphone for accurate reproduction of about all kinds of music. Excellent bass, but not bloated. Very listenable..... even at low volume levels.
