The MDR F1 is unique. It has a built in ohm 'matcher.' In theory, you get the best SQ no matter what amp is being used.

I'd suggest looking at the Hfi-780 as well. It has a very wide sound stage for a closed headphone, and bass with impact which is sometimes lacking on open headphones.
