Hey guys,
I am looking for a new pair of Headphones.
My budget is $55. I listen to music and do a bit of gaming. I like all types of rock music and also I want some good bass.
I am looking at HD 428 and HD 515 and Creative Aurvana Live.
What do you think any more suggestions. Please help me decide one.

This is an easy one..Try the phone on my thread and on my signature. The Panasonic HTF600. Catching fire in the community. You can get velour pads for them which adds to the comfort level.. There is nothing that comes close to the full bass or SQ of these for the price. Around $35 online. http://www.head-fi.org/t/571005/the-panasonic-rp-htf600-s-headphones-more-fun-than-the-hd650/435#post_7819770 Go to the beginning of the thread and read MalveauXs review on them. Shockingly great for the price.

Yes.. The HTF600s are comfy to begin with but with those velours it just adds to an already comfortable phone. Adds to the definition a bit while leaving the full bass intact. It is a great combo.. Rock sounds awesome on these as they have full forward mids and the Bass. It is definitely basshead approved. Gaming movies.. A very great do it all can. It is how you described in your needs while meeting your budget easy..Let us know how you like them if you end up getting them..

So how do the Panasonics stand in front of the aurvana live and the HD 515s/HD 428s?

The panasonics eat them for lunch. All the way up to the $150~200 tier of headphones. They're that good.

Very best,
