Spatially represented by importance:
Headphone >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Amp >>>>>> DAC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cables

That said looks like you got $1000 to burn. I personally recommend HE-500 and Emotiva miniX. For more ideas: http://www.head-fi.org/t/694454/1000-challenge-list-your-best-amp-headphone-pairing-that-can-be-had-for-1000-or-less

I would go with the first option. For the amp in general, just make sure that it has sufficient power to drive your headphones, if not you won't be able to hear the benefit of having good dac and cables.

Check out the $20 speaker tap guide link.

Planars like the HE-500 love power, so it works well with the Emotiva without breaking the bank.
