Need help identifying this KR audio 300B tube I got off of ebay. It runs at 1.2 amps so it isn't the 300BXLS version. Unique bottle shape compared to there other 300Bs. Its interior kinda looks like the Gold Dragon KR 300B on ebay right now.
Produces nearly zero glow. Sounds really great though.

Those are 21 year old tubes. Can’t speak to the quality or sound, but probably standard 300B

Before people hate me for not liking the Elrog. It is honestly the best tube for detail, high-end and low-end extension. Just with my speakers, ceramic woofer and aluminum ribbon tweeters. it makes the highs unbearable at points. I also prefer the more traditional tube sound over the Elrog sound. Nothing wrong with the Elrogs just not for me and my personal tastes.

Besides maybe the KR-Audio 300B Riccardo Kron Anniversary Edition, which are so ugly and monsterus they weirdly become pretty. Would love to get a pair of them just to marvel at the monstrosity.

That's the one part I didn't like about them, they just grew on me because they sound so good.

A Western Electric 300B with its classic shape and blue glow, looks so much cooler imo

Unbearable is the wrong wording. I would say the Elrog is more fatiguing than the other tubes. I can't listen for as long with the Elrogs as I can with other 300Bs.

Sounds like you just didn't have the Elrog's paired up with the right drivers. I am treble sensitive and can crank the volume for hours with zero fatigue. The Elrog's are neutral enough to really let you hear what the other tubes are doing.

The first thing that struck me about the Elrogs were how non-fatiguing they are at any volume. I’m also very treble sensitive.

Incredibly dynamic, extended top to bottom, non fatiguing, pure bliss. Elrogs are king.

I haven't done much driver tube rolling yet. I will eventually get to it with all the 300b. I was first just doing some initial comparison between the 300B tubes with the stock 5670 driver tubes. I'm sure the Elrog with the correct driver tubes will be great.

Believe it or not, they actually sound good, too. I prefer them over WE's (better-defined bass, more impactful), but they don't hold a candle to the Elrogs.
