Not exactly. Foster Japan lists a pair of headphones that are obviously the basis for the Denon AH-Dx000 series. As far as I can tell they're reference designs that Denon presumably puts their stink on and tweaks/re-engineers to their liking, and contracts Foster to manufacture them. I know that the Denon headphones use a different wood.

Creative has an AH-D1001 variant, I believe, and it is supposed to sound a little different too. I haven't seen other brands of the AH-D2000/5000/7000 designs.

Hmm okay, I know a few companies do it.. I'm pretty sure Panasonic develop Leica cameras or vice-versa, they look identical apart from the circular Leica logo and double the price tag.
