Koa is gorgeous, as is Ebony. Cocobolo for the win still, but those bring up the rear quite closely.

My fave is Cocobolo. For sure. I really like Paduak, but the Cocobolo is just gorgeous.

Wow, after looking at this thread again, I didn't realize how beautiful koa is. Man, if I get anything done at Headphile, I'll probably use that wood.

An MS-1 HAS been Headphile modded and commented on enthusiastically in these threads!

......done as a comparro with HF-1 I believe.

I suspect that a quick search will find it; but it's what got me going(and going, and going)about getting my MS-1s modded as well. I still may get them a new wooden suit at some point in the future!!

I have a pair that I've had for about a year and a half. I'll try to post some pics when I get home.
