I've heard good things about the buffets at the Bellagio, Wynn, and Paris (Le Village Buffet)? I'm thinking of hitting up 1, maybe 2 buffets, nothing more. Has anyone been to the Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay (owned by Hubert Keller of Fleur de Lys)? I'll definitely check out the Forum Shops at Caesar. Is the Coke place worth it? (never heard of it before). Planning on hitting at least one Michelin star-caliber place. Still deciding.

O has water elements but the wife and i really enjoyed KA, i think she still likes that one best but then again it was also her first. if you're going to book tickets especially on such short notice you're probably going to have to go through a ticket broker i think for O the tickets start at $225 though. i think you're better off at KA where tickets will be much cheaper and you'll still get to experience the whole show

I'll second the Rio buffet. If you like the Beatles, then check out Love.

You won't see it all in 3 days but it sounds as if you have been before.

First time I was in Vegas I was 12 years old. Circus Circus was the only place my sister and I were allowed near.

Remember to relax and have fun rather than rush around and not enjoy each place for what it was designed to be.

I go to Vegas quite a bit but don't really do it on the cheap.

As far as shows, it really depends on what you want. The Cirques are all pretty good but if I have to pick one it would have to be Love (Beatles fan). I would also recommend Jersey Boys. If you are into Motown I would definitely see Human Nature.

Lots of good restaurants on the strip but you pay more there. The Burger Brasserie had the absolute best burger I've ever had (and I'm a big burger fan).

The Striphouse in Planet Hollywood was also worth trying.

Somebody has already mentioned Town Square as a good place to shop and I would concur (Guitar Center) and while at Town Square you can eat at Claim Jumpers. You get a ton of food for a decent price.

I hate buffets so I'm not going to recommend anything.

If you want to see what old Vegas was like I would suggest seeing the Rat Pack. It's tacky but fun.

If you like cars stop by the Imperial Palace. There should be people handing out coupons on the street and you can get in for free with a coupon.

If you want to be truly decadent try the Wagyu beef at Cut in the Palazzo. I have never has a better (or more expensive) steak.

Not a huge fan of Beatles, Elvis, etc, but O sounds interesting, and so does Ka. Does anyone know what a good price for either ticket would be around? $50? $100?

I've been to Vegas several times before (being in LA) and am familiar with the general area, but last visit was a fairly long time ago (discounting non-pleasure trips). Have yet to see the Wynn, CityCenter, & more recent establishments.

However, if you are underage, then you will be missing out on a lot of what Vegas is about.

No. Chinatown is outside the Strip, on the other side of I-15. Since you are just going to Vegas to enjoy your springbreak, unless you run out of money, no point going there. However if you go there, it is unbelievable value.

Since you live in LA, LA has the best dim sum places and chinese food in general. No need to go to Sahara to have them rip you off.

Bellagio and Wynn are awesome. Never tried Paris so I don't know. Don't go cheap for stuff like Mirage, which is AWFUL. Depending on how early you wake up (well, how much you party at night), try to go to buffets early. My coworker told me this trick (happened to me one time by accident as well). If you get in before breakfast cut off time, you pay for the breakfast price, enjoy breakfast, and by the time you are done with your first plate, they have already switched to lunch menu

In terms of shows, O is more famous than KA, so do that first. If you are going with your significant other, try Zumanity which is pretty sexy.

IMO, the two best buffets in the city is the one in the Rio and the M Resort buffet which is on the southwest end of Vegas. On seafood night, be prepared to wait, the lines are really long (but worth it).

Town Square is also nice this time of year, it's a nice place to walk/shop.
